Blockages and obstructions in horses not only lead to problems with movement, but also to pain, stress-inducing difficulties with balance, restrictions in organ functions or changes in behavior. Manual therapy can be used to restore the original mobility, which often leads to a reduction in proprioceptive stimuli that is crucial for the success of the therapy.

Manual therapies include methods from physiotherapy, osteopathy, chiropractic, but also from kinesiology, traditional Chinese medicine or special applications from energy work.

The aim of every manual treatment is to eliminate movement restrictions. Blocked structures do not move or move too little, which manifests itself as reduced mobility and gliding ability in the musculoskeletal system, impaired function of the nervous system and an obstruction in the free flow of body fluids (blood, lymph, cerebrospinal fluid).
